Driven by greed, a hunter sought the Zlatorog’s horns, believed to be the key to the mountain's riches. However, as the Zlatorog was wounded, miraculous flowers sprang from its blood and healed it. Betrayed by its resilience, the enraged Zlatorog lashed out, reshaping the landscape with its mighty horns.

The hunter vanished, consumed by his own greed, and the Zlatorog’s tale became a symbol of nature's enduring guardianship. To this day, it’s believed that the Zlatorog still safeguards the natural treasures of Triglav, reminding all who visit to respect and protect the sublime beauty of Slovenia.
